短语通常没有主语，也没有谓语动词，但是每个短语都有一定的结构和语义，在句子中形成一个重要的环节。 例如：go to,look for, want to,put up等

后分析：找出长句的第一个出现的谓语成分，那么它的前面一般是主语，后面一般是谓语成分的宾语或者状语；后面再出现的谓语成分，要么与第一个谓语成分并列，要么就是作为其他主语(第一个主语的宾语或者状语）的修辞语，是定语从句中的一部分，一般是宾语成分的定语。

这里所谓的修辞语，主要是提供了补充信息，使你得到的信息更加的完整。去掉划线部分的修辞语后，句子变为如下：
function is to store information; processor will read them.
.....功能是存储信息；处理器会阅读这些信息。
你自己划一下线，看看我都去掉了一些哪些词语，他们都是修饰语。然后你用逆向补充信息的方法，可以灵活的翻译了。
功能：主板共享存储器的基本“功能”
信息：由A6板通过P2连接器反馈的“信息”
处理器：解析器的“处理器”
阅读：通过VME总线（P1连接器）来“阅读”
