Speed bumps are designed to make drivers slow down.Going over a typical speed bump at 5 miles per hour results in a gentlebounce,1 while hitting one at 20 delivers a sizable jolt. It 8217;s natural to assumethat hitting a speed bump at 60 would deliver a proportionally larger jolt, butit probably wouldn 8217;t.
